Acknowledging and Rewarding outstanding achievements by youth who have experienced dissadvantage but who in the face of that dissadvantage have worked to achieve their own or others best potential

an annual - $2500 prize for the Achiever of the Year

and a number of smaller prizes

In addition a plaque or certificate of award is provided.

As part of his commitment to social justice Michael, together with the Blacktown Lions Club has financially made possible an award which seeks to recognise local young achievers.

This award is not necessarily for academic achievement. It is to seek out and acknowldge local young people who have risen above some level of dissadvantage to seek to achieve their full potential.

The very good men and women of the local area Lions Club together with Michael are very proud to make a difference in the lives of local young people.
